ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Felipe Duarte, and I am currently in the 4th semester of the Computer Science program at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB). My studies primarily focus on the field of Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, I have knowledge of Python, including the main libraries for Data Analysis and Machine Learning. I've also studied Java and C as part of my university courses. In terms of web development, I'm familiar with JavaScript and TypeScript, with a focus on Next.js, React.js, and Node.js.

I am currently a member of the Technology and Artificial Intelligence League (TAIL), an academic league that develops various applications related to Artificial Intelligence. In TAIL, I've learned to collaborate effectively with others and apply AI practically to solve a variety of everyday problems. Furthermore, I am a part of the TRIL Laboratory, where my current research revolves around the applications and impacts of Large Language Models (LLMs) in people's daily lives.

In my free time, I usually enjoy playing beach volleyball and playing the guitar, which are definitely my favorite hobbies!

PROJECTS

Check out some of the main projects i worked on!

IANALISTA

In the TRIL laboratory, I designed an API that retrieves data from yFinance regarding a specific stock. This includes pertinent information about the stock as well as the most relevant news that could influence its value. The collected data is then processed by a Large Language Model (LLM), providing insights and indications on whether it is an opportune moment for a user to consider investing or not.

WaveFlow

Together with my team at TAIL, we are working on an intelligent page scrolling system. In this system, the page only scrolls as the user progresses through the chords of the song. This innovative approach incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) and aims to enhance the experience for musicians who use websites to follow musical chord progressions.

HUMANIFY

I participated in a hackathon organized by the company DOCK, during which my team and I developed a solution for the company's HR using web scraping of Glassdoor data, categorization through NLP, and a Slack bot to gather employee opinions on the company's day-to-day activities.

KeySearch

As part of a personal endeavor, I am currently involved in the development of an API with an innovative purpose: detecting the pitch at which a user is singing a melody, with the additional capability of automatically adjusting the corresponding musical chords. This technology utilizes machine learning libraries and aims to enhance the experience for musicians.

RECOMMENDATION
SYSTEM

In the Trainees Rotation at TAIL, we have crafted a movie recommendation system, leveraging a dataset sourced from IMDB featuring the top 1000 highest-rated films in history.

Beer Consumption Analysis

In my Time Series Analysis course, I conducted a data analysis on beer consumption in the city of São Paulo using daily data from the entire year of 2015. In this project, my goal was to comprehend the key factors influencing the surge in beer consumption.  Additionally, I performed a predictive analysis to understand how this consumption pattern would evolve in the capital over the coming years.
